Travel To UCI

UC Irvine is located in Orange County, California, about 4 miles from John Wayne Airport (SNA). Driving from SNA to UCI takes about 15 min.

UCI is about 50 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Driving from LAX can take up to more than 2 hours during busy hours, but it usually takes less than 1.5 hours during weekends. You can also book shuttles in advance. The most frequent shuttles are super shuttle and prime time shuttle.

The Atrium Hotel is very close to SNA, about 2.5 miles from the meeting venue. Uber/Lyft/Taxi or car rental are recommended. Uber cost from the Atrium Hotel to the UCI Student Center is $12-15. The hotel front desk can help to call a taxi. If you drive, parking rate on campus is $13 per day.

Parking
The most convenient parking facility is the Student Center Parking Structure (SCPS) located next to the UCI Student Center (our meeting venue). If SCPS is full, you can use Lot 5 across W. Peltason Dr. for parking, and you have to go to SCPS kiosk to buy a permit and then go park at Lot 5.  A map of direction for SCPS and Lot 5 see attached map. If you park in the Student Center Park Structure or Lot 5 and want to have the "One Day - General" rate of $13.00/day, please do purchase the parking permit from the SCPS kiosk marked on the map. If you use "Paid-by-space" dispenser which provides permits for stalls with Number-marked stalls, you will have to pay more, $4 per hour. More details of visitor parking can be found at:
