Revealing the mystery of dark matter and its quantum imprints in
electromagnetic dipoles are crucial paths to new discoveries. Recent
advances are creatively transforming the LHC into a photon collider.
This opens pioneering searches for dark matter scenarios explaining
the muon magnetic anomaly (g–2) and landmark measurements of the
tau-lepton's g–2 using overlooked ATLAS heavy-ion data. Maximizing
discovery prospects requires next-generation instrumentation across
complementary scales. This ranges from large-scale silicon tracker
upgrades for the High-Luminosity LHC to new small-scale agile
experiments including pilots called BREAD targeting axion dark matter.
