Steven Crisostomo recently won a Presidential Dissertation Year Fellowship, meant to provide support for his final year of dissertation writing. He also helps run Condensed Chatter, an informal grad-student led discussion group for topics in condensed matter physics. The Condensed Chatters are grateful to the Eddleman Quantum Institute (EQI) for supporting this quarter's coffee.

Steven has several ongoing projects at the moment, but his most recent one appeared in Physical Review letters.  His paper explores the intersection of Green's function theory and density functional theory, essentially putting both on the same footing. Currently Steven and Professor Kieron Burke are preparing a paper where they explore the topics introduced in the letter in much more depth.
